Vehicle Selected! The Drift Taxi Moves Forward!
ON WITH THE NEXT STEP!
Well, hopefully that's the case. I've decided, with the help of a VERY patient friend, to utilize my mates 2001 Mercedes-Benz S600 for the Drift Taxi project! This is very exciting and very scary all at the same time. The car needs a few TLC items to be pristine but it's in VERY good condition overall. The biggest hangup, for now, is the automatic transmission which should be able to be sorted with a swap.
This is where the fear begins. You see, with the W140 S600s, people have done the manual swaps successfully however this is yet to be done with the W220. The W220 poses a set of unknown variables that even my start tuner and builder friends are unable to answer. Here is where I start to clench and here is where the first REAL hurdle lies. Getting the V12 running under its own power with a manual transmission. Right now, the car runs and drives just perfect, but who knows what sort of things we're in for when we finally swap out for the manual.
Wish me luck, I'm going to need it! HAHAHA!
